Incumbent :

Main message to voters:

I would love to continue to represent the people of Cork South Central in Dáil Éireann. I believe my record in the Dáil is strong and I would like to continue to develop, and hopefully implement, new policies in the finance and economic area that will benefit our people and our country.

Election history:

First elected to Dáil Éireann in 2007 and re-elected in 2011. Previously served on Cork County Council (2004-2007) and Passage West / Monkstown Town Council (1999-2007).

  1. Reform our taxation system to help make Ireland a genuinely pro-enterprise economy. This is also the key to improving public services.
  2. Secure a fair deal for mortgage holders, especially those on rip-off variable rates, and help those struggling with arrears to keep the family home.
  3. Recognise the phenomenal work of carers (who save the State vast sums of money) by really boosting the supports available to them.
