Main message to voters:

Vote for Sinn Féin if you want representatives who will fight for public services, decent wages, decent housing, accessible healthcare, an end to water charges, fair taxation and a new republic. Sinn Féin believes that a fair recovery and an equal society is possible.

Election history:

Jonathan was an member of Cork City Council from 2000 until he was elected to the Dáil in 2011 topping the poll. Formerly the party spokesperson on Justice, he is now Deputy Whip and Sinn Féin spokesperson on Education, and Drugs issues.

Priorities:

  1. For too long people have suffered under austerity. Sinn Féin is committed to delivering a fair recovery and abolishing water charges once and for all.
  2. The housing emergency must be addressed immediately so that no person is left sleeping rough or put out on the streets in the first place.
  3. Sinn Féin believes healthcare & education are basic and fundamental human rights that should be free and universally available to everyone as a right.
