Mary White
Mary White
Fianna Fáil
Party 2

Incumbent : No

Election history:

Mary was elected to Seanad Éireann on her first attempt in July 2002 having been nominated by the Irish Exporters Association. Mary has advocated new approaches to childcare provision, discrimination against our ageing fellow citizens, suicide prevention and women in enterprise.

Priorities:

  1. Ireland has one of the harshest inheritance tax regimes in the world. This tax is unjust & unfair & needs to be addressed.
  2. I am of the belief that Stepaside Garda Station must be reopened to help tackle crime and burglaries in Dublin Rathdown.
  3. The current State approach to childcare is a shambles. Parents in Ireland pay some of the highest childcare costs in the world, this is wholly wrong.
