Main message to voters:

Education issues brought Malcolm into politics and he is passionate about improving educational outcomes locally and nationally. Wanting to listen to all sectors in society, he is not afraid to speak his mind. Malcolm has a wealth of experience with community and national organisations.

Election history:

Malcolm has been a local Councillor since 1999 and is currently Chair of the Gorey Municipal District. He was Chair of Wexford County Council 2014/15. A former Vice-President of the National Youth Council, he was named as one of the 40 under 40 European Young leaders for 2014.

Priorities:

  1. Investment in Education and Youth Services. This is essential for Ireland's long term economic an social development.
  2. Housing. There are 3,800 people on the County's social housing list. It is difficult for young people to find housing and obtain mortgages.
  3. Building our communities. Strengthening the role of the arts, music, sport, community development organisations is key to a healthy society.
